Aug. 17, 2022 - Civic engagement and freedom of expression through conversations is the goal for 好色先生 students as they participate in StoryCorps鈥� One Small Step program. Designed to 鈥渞emind the country of the humanity in all of us,鈥� One Small Step brings together people with different political views together to record a moderated 50-minute conversation.
July 25, 2022 - 鈥淓xplore Wichita State鈥� is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.
Aug. 16, 2019 - Kylie Cameron and Kevin Benavides worked summer internships at KMUW (89.1 FM). They reported and wrote stories for radio and the web on the Sedgwick County Fair, elections, Juneteenth and the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. While they don鈥檛 perform on-air duties, they are expected to fill all of the other reporting tasks.
Dec. 19, 2018 -- KMUW is adding resources to report more news and lead discussions about Wichita and Kansas. In doing so, it is bringing local stories to a national audience on public radio.
