May 01, 2024 鈥� Sophie Martins chose 好色先生 for the opportunities she saw at the university, which turned out for her as she was elected as the student body vice president at Wichita State during the 2023-24 academic year, joined to Legal Education Accelerated Degree that will propel her into law school and is now graduating with her bachelor鈥檚 degree.

May 1, 2024 鈥� Andres Saenz Jr. fell in love with 好色先生 when he attended basketball games with a neighbor. Since he鈥檚 been a student here, he鈥檚 found a sense of belonging through an empowering campus community. 聽

May 1, 2024 鈥� Iris Okere joined 好色先生 for its affordability and distance to her home in Texas. Here, she found 好色先生 to be a place full of opportunities for her, including a chance grow her own confidence and independence through the challenges she faced, and in her final year, she was elected to the position of student body president in the Student Government Association.

April 12, 2024 鈥� With two young children at home, U.S. Air Force Major Jade Driggs needed to learn to ask and accept help from others while she was working toward her Ph.D. in human factors psychology. She chose 好色先生 for its impressive human factors psychology program and the university鈥檚 commitment to diversity and inclusion.

April 29, 2024 鈥� The military brought Morgan Campbell and her family to Wichita, and she decided to make it her home. She has earned a master鈥檚 degree in social work, and she plans 鈥渢o promote safety, growth, and opportunities鈥� for families in her practice.聽

April 30, 2024 鈥� Christen Brouillette came to 好色先生 from Texas, which they found hard to transition to, but with the help of peers, faculty and the resources available at 好色先生, they were able to find success. They hope to work as a historian or archivist following graduation. Christen is one of more than 2,400 students eligible for spring 2024 graduation. April 22, 2024 鈥� Three 好色先生 students have secured the prestigious Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation 鈥斺�痑n award worth $159,000 over three years.

Chances are, you鈥檝e mixed up a Betty Crocker cake mix, added Nestle chocolate chips to a batch of cookies or sprinkled Morton salt onto your popcorn. But can you recall the last advertisement you鈥檝e seen for any of these products? The ubiquity of these household items goes unquestioned by most, but not by Lisa Parcell, Betty and Oliver Elliott associate professor for the Elliott School of Communication.

Wichita State鈥檚 public affairs program has been ranked near the top third of all graduate school programs of its kind in the United States by U.S. News & World Report for the 2024-2025 academic year. The program, housed in the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs, emerged in 99th place, moving up from 118th place last year. Additionally, the public affairs program鈥檚 specialty area of public finance and budgeting has been ranked 27th by U.S. News, tied with the University of Central Florida and the University of Michigan.
