Intrust Bank Arena

The Intrust Bank Arena boasts a 15,000-seat capacity and hosts a slew of entertainment events such as concerts, hockey games (our own professional team - Wichita Thunder), PBR (professional bull riding), and the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships!

Also, don鈥檛 miss the upcoming Justin Timberlake concert on December 8, 2024, before he goes Bye, Bye, Bye! So go ahead and NSYNC up your calendars (ok I鈥檒l stop).

Boats and Bikes at River Vista

Need a fun and outdoor activity that is affordable and scenic? Look no further than Boats and Bikes. This company allows Wichitans and visitors to rent (as the name suggests) different types of boats and bikes to cruise down the Downtown River Corridor. This fun trip takes you to our famous Keeper of the Plains sculpture on the river, which was created by local Native American artist Blackbear Bosin.

Fun fact: Wichita State students receive a discount when showing their Shocker IDs upon renting.

Wichita Life

Searching for a local Wichita point of view? Look no further with Wichita Life. This social media platform highlights the people and community of Wichita by focusing on the stories of the passionate people of this city. This network showcases newly opened businesses, events, and true and interesting stories.

They hope to showcase Wichita鈥檚 brand as hardworking, genuine, creative and proud.

Wichita Wind Surge

Baseball enthusiasts unite! Wichita is home to the Minor League Baseball team the Wichita Wind Surge. This team is a Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins and plays in Riverfront Stadium. If you are looking for a new sports team to cheer for, this would be the one! The 2024 season might be over, but I can guarantee the 2025 season will be even better! This local team is super involved in the community and has arguably one of the coolest and cutest mascots (don鈥檛 tell WU I said that). 

Also, don鈥檛 forget to check out Wichita State鈥檚 16 NCAA athletic teams and catch one of their games (pssst Wichita State students get those tickets for FREE).

ICT Eats

Wichita was named one of the Top 10 Foodie Cities by Livability.com and it鈥檚 easy to see why. ICT Eats is one of many food-based social media accounts in Wichita that highlights the unique and diverse cuisine options in the city. Boba, ice cream, sushi, Mexican, Mediterranean, and so much more, Wichita has whatever you are in the mood to chow down.  

Downtown Wichita

Want artistic, historical, funky, cultural and beautiful? Well, Downtown Wichita has got it all. Downtown is an eclectic and historic area that is popular with visitors and families. Some cool places that I would personally recommend would be the Museum of World Treasures, Naftzger Park, Old Town Farm and Art Market (seasonal), the Orpheum, Exploration Place and the Public Library.
